Our Story

Founded in North Yorkshire by experienced healthcare professionals who believed care could be done better. We are not a franchise. We are not a corporate chain. We are an independent, locally-led agency that puts people first, always. Families can learn more about our home care in Scarborough, including visiting care across YO11 and YO12.

A Star Care was built from a deep conviction that every person deserves dignified, person-centred care delivered by people who genuinely care. Our name reflects our aspiration: to be the gold standard in home care.

Mrs Khadijatou Francess Jagne

Founder, Director & CQC Registered Manager

Mrs Khadijatou Francess Jagne (Frances) is the founder and Director of A Star Care Agency Limited, as well as the CQC Registered Manager. With extensive experience in health and social care, Frances built A Star Care with a mission to deliver outstanding, person-centred home care across North Yorkshire.

Her leadership is rooted in a deep commitment to equity, dignity, and the belief that everyone deserves care that truly brightens their day.
